Bengaluru, September 23: “The party will not tolerate if the party discipline is violated. Blackmail strategies will not be accepted”, warned AICC general secretary and Karnataka Congress incharge K.C. Venugopal.

After releasing the Women Union logo of the party at the KPCC office here on Sunday, Venugopal said that dissident activities being in the party would not be tolerated. Action would be taken against those who use pressure tactics, he warned.

The BJP leaders have been indulging in vindictive politics to destabilize the coalition government. Former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa himself has offered money and positions to the Congress leaders. Such an unethical politics was not good for the healthy democratic set up, he said.

Such developments would not happen in Karnataka as the people would not allow such deeds. No Congress MLA would leave the party, he clarified.

KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao, Working President Eshwar Khandre, KPCC Women Unit President and MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar, former minister Motamma and other Congress leaders were present.

New Delhi (PTI): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday asked the government to form groups of MPs to guide them on the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna to enhance their understanding of the key scheme.

When Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was responding to supplementaries during the Question Hour, Birla proposed creation of such groups.

The minister agreed with the idea.

The scheme provides farmers with affordable insurance coverage against crop losses due to natural disasters.
