Bengaluru: A group of social activists unfurled a banner reading ‘Puncture Hate with Love’ during a rally organized for Tejasvi Surya's nomination in Bengaluru on Thursday. However, their action was met with opposition from BJP workers in attendance.
The incident occurred at a rally held in Jayanagar to mark Tejasvi Surya’s nomination for the Lok Sabha candidacy of Bengaluru North constituency. Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Opposition leader R Ashok, Pratap Simha, and other leaders were present at the event.
Around 5-6 individuals, including two women, arrived at the venue and displayed the banner advocating for the cessation of hate and the promotion of love. This move was met with resistance from the BJP workers present, who objected to the display of the banner.

Vinod Kumar, one of the individuals holding the banner, clarified their intention, stating, “We are here to protest against communalism in the country. Tejasvi Surya should focus on fostering brotherhood. It is regrettable that he is preoccupied with making statements that fuel hatred. Therefore, we have displayed the banner calling for the cultivation of love and the eradication of hate. We do not harbor any personal animosity towards him. He should refrain from jeopardizing communal harmony with his statements.”

Beirut, Nov 24: Hezbollah fired at least 185 rockets and other projectiles into Israel on Sunday, wounding seven people in the group's heaviest barrage in several days, in response to deadly Israeli strikes in Beirut while negotiators pressed on with cease-fire efforts to halt the all-out war.
Meanwhile, an Israeli strike on a Lebanese army centre killed one soldier and wounded 18 others on the southwestern coastal road between Tyre and Naqoura, Lebanon's military said. Israel's military expressed regret and said the strike occurred in an area of combat against Hezbollah, adding that its operations are directed solely against the Hezbollah group. The strike was under review.
Israeli strikes have killed over 40 Lebanese troops since the start of the war between Israel and Hezbollah, even as Lebanon's military has largely kept to the sidelines.
Lebanon's caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, condemned the latest strike as an assault on US-led cease-fire efforts, calling it a “direct, bloody message rejecting all efforts and ongoing contacts” to end the war.
