Chitradurga: BJP MLC N. Ravikumar criticised former Uttara Kannada MP Anantkumar Hegde for his controversial statement on changing the Constitution.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Samvidhana Sanmana Abhiyana organised by the Citizens for Social Justice at the city’s sports complex, Ravikumar referred to Hegde’s remarks as irresponsible. “Anantkumar Hegde, who claimed that he came to change the Constitution, is a madman. He might have said it in the heat of the moment, but has the Prime Minister or the RSS chief ever said such things?” he questioned.

“BJP is a party that believes in the 'Nation First' principle. BJP has accepted the Constitution as the only guiding document for the nation. The Constitution is the governing text of the country, unlike the Congress party, which follows the Nehru family's directives,” he added.
