Another COVID-19 blow to Kannada film industry, renowned producer Chandrashekar succumbs to virus
Bengaluru: The renowned producer of the Kannada film industry, Chandrashekhar passed away due to COVID-19 late on Wednesday.
After contracting the COVID-19 infection recently, Chandrashekhar had been admitted to a hospital and was receiving treatment. Afterward, his tests had reportedly come out negative. However, his lungs deteriorated thereafter causing him respiratory troubles and the treatment proved to be ineffective, as he passed away on Wednesday night.
Chandrashekhar has produced movies such as ‘Annaiyya’ featuring actor Ravichandran, ‘Bindaas’ featuring Puneeth Rajkumar, ‘Ranna’ featuring Sudeep, ‘Eno Onthara’ featuring Ganesh, and several other movies.

Uttar Pradesh: Three-year-old girl raped by uncle in Etah, police launches investigation
Etah (PTI): A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her uncle in Uttar Pradesh's Etah, police said on Sunday.
Officials said the girl's family lodged a complaint lodged on Saturday alleging that the girl's uncle lured her from the house on the pretext of giving her chocolates and later raped her.
The girl's mother in her complaint identified the accused as Hira Lal (40), a police officer said.
Kotwali Nagar Station House Officer (SHO) Rajesh Kumar Singh, said that on the basis of the complaint an FIR has been lodged and further legal action is being taken.
Singh said that the minor has been admitted to a hospital for medical care and examination.
