B. Basavalingappa Water Testing laboratory inaugurated
Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister of Dr. Parameshwar inaugurated B. Basavalingappa Water Testing Laboratory at Karnataka State Pollution Control Board's Nisarga Bhavana on Friday.
Speaking to reporters after the inauguration, he said Basavalingappa was the first Minister of Environment. He was much concerned about the environment. Setting up a laboratory on his name was commendable.

Karnataka Governor Gehlot greets people on Yugadi
Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the eve of Yugadi.
In his message, the Governor wished for happiness, health and prosperity for all in the new year.
"Warmest greetings to the people of Karnataka on the occasion of Ugadi. May this new year bring happiness, health, and prosperity to everyone's life. May all the bitterness of life be removed and sweetness like jaggery be in your life," he said.
