On being informed by the security agencies of Ikrah’s attempts to contact her mother recently, the police team got into action and took both Ikrah and Singh into custody.
When questioned by the police, Ikrah confessed to the police that she had applied for a passport under an alias ‘Rava Yadav’.
The Bellandur Police informed the authorities at the Foreigners Registration Office (FRRO) about the matter for further investigation.
