Bengaluru, September 20: An accused who was brought to police station for interrogation in a theft case, died mysteriously after falling from the second floor of the building of the police station at Amruthahalli police station limits in the city on Thursday.
The deceased is identified as Manju alias Sathish (35).
The police brought him to the police station for interrogation in a house robbery case and was interrogating in the second floor of the building. But Sathish, in a bid to escape from the police, jumped from the building. As he jumped from the building, he sustained injuries on his face and head and he was admitted to a private hospital. But he died in the hospital. But the family members suspected foul-play in the incident and demanded probe into the incident.

Ranchi (PTI): Two labourers died after soil caved in at an under-construction apartment complex in Ranchi, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened near Ram Temple in the Gonda police station area on Monday, they said.
"Both victims were working at the construction site. The bodies were handed over to their family members," SP (City) Paras Rana said.
Both the deceased hailed from Thakurgaon in Burmu block, police said, adding that an investigation has been ordered.
