Bengaluru: Residents of the upscale apartment complexes near the MS Dhoni Global School, situated on Kudlu Main Road in Bengaluru's IT corridor, have been living in fear due to multiple sightings of a leopard in their vicinity over the past two days.

Disturbing video clips captured by CCTV cameras, depicting the leopard roaming in the basement parking area and elevator lobby of one of the apartments, have circulated widely on social media platforms.

The recurrent appearances of the leopard, especially during nighttime, within the residential premises, raised concerns among the residents, prompting immediate action from the Bengaluru Urban forest officials.

A thorough combing operation was launched to locate and safely rescue the leopard, involving the deployment of over 25 personnel, a team of experienced veterinarians, and skilled sharpshooters equipped to tranquilize the elusive creature.

After an intensive three-day search operation, forest officials successfully captured the leopard in the Bommanahalli industrial area, relieving the residents of the IT corridor from the gripping fear that had enveloped their community.

Washington (AP): US President Donald Trump has warned that a “whole civilisation will die tonight” but said Iran still has time to capitulate ahead of a deadline set for 8 p.m. in Washington.

The American leader issued the stark threat Tuesday, about 12 hours ahead of his deadline for Iran to agree to a deal that includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz or face punishing strikes.

Iran rejected a 45-day ceasefire proposal and said it wants a permanent end to the war as Trump's ultimatum to make a deal ticked closer with an expanded threat of strikes against the Islamic Republic to include all power plants and bridges.

Trump said Monday he is “not at all” concerned about committing possible war crimes as he again threatened to destroy Iranian infrastructure if Tehran does not meet his deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned the US that attacking civilian infrastructure is banned under international law, his spokesperson said Monday.
