Bengaluru: Koramangala Police have filed an FIR against BJP leader Anil Shetty, after election officers seized as many as 504 cookers hoarded at his residence.

Police said that the election officers had raided the house of Shetty, who is also a ticket aspirant from the BTM constituency, after they were tipped off on the matter.

Election officer Varalakshmamma had asked the police to take action against Shetty.

The FIR was filed against the BJP leader after obtaining permission from the court, said the police.
