Bengaluru: The accused in the financier Madan’s murder case was shot in the leg by the Tallaghatta police personnel, who later arrested them.
The accused have been identified as Mahesh and Navin. The duo who sustained gunshot wounds on their leg on the course of their arrest was admitted to a hospital by the police, and are being treated for their injuries, it is learned.
Reportedly, when the accused were being taken to another location by the police, the accused tried to escape after attacking four police personnel including PSIs Chandan Kaale and Laxman Chaar, the police then used their pistol and fired shots on the legs of the escapees, a senior police official informed.
On Monday, when the accused Mahesh, Navin, Pradeep, Chandrasekhar, Manoj Rao, Chandrasekhar, and Prasad, who had donned the attire of lawyers tried to surrender themselves before the 37th ACMM Court in the city, the police managed to arrest them.

Recently, a financier named Madan was murdered near the pillar of the Metro Stand at Banashankari. The footage of the incident was captured in a CCTV at the location. On basis of that, the police arrested the accused. An investigation is underway.
