Bengaluru: The Bengaluru International Airport police have registered an FIR against a YouTube channel named 'Bangalore Wanderlust' for allegedly flying a drone in a restricted no-fly zone near Kempegowda International Airport, violating aviation safety rules.

According to Deccan Herald on Monday, a senior police officer said the case was registered based on a complaint filed by officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The drone footage in question was uploaded on the YouTube channel on January 4, 2026.

The drone was allegedly flown in the Red Zone area where aerial operations are strictly prohibited as per Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulations and posed a potential threat to aviation safety.

The DGCA’s vigilance team reportedly noticed the aerial footage online and alerted CISF personnel, following which a complaint was lodged and legal action initiated.

"We are verifying details of the channel operator and also involvement of a third party or whether any other government agency had asked him to shoot the video by giving money. Action will be initiated against those responsible if found guilty," the officer said.

Further investigation is under way.

Shivpuri (PTI): The 60-year-old mother of a rape accused was killed allegedly by the victim's brother in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district, a police official said on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday, Rannod police station house officer (SHO) Arvind Chauhan said.

"An anganwadi worker returning from a hospital was offered a lift by one Inder Gurjar, who took her to a secluded spot and raped her. She called up her brothers to narrate the ordeal. One brother of the victim along with two associates went to Gurjar's house and assaulted him. When Gurjar's mother Sirkunwarbai (60) intervened, she was attacked with a sharp weapon. She died on the spot," he said.

Based on a complaint filed by the deceased woman's daughter-in-law, three persons were booked for murder. One of them was held on Saturday, the official added.

A separate case has also been registered against Gurjar for rape, he said.

Police personnel have been deployed in the area in view of tension following the incident, the official added.
