Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka on Monday refused to quash an FIR registered against a 25-year-old airport ground staff member accused of sexually harassing a Korean businesswoman at Kempegowda International Airport.

Justice M. Nagaprasanna passed the order while dismissing a petition filed by the accused, a resident of the city.

According to the complaint, the accused, who was working on a contract basis for security checks, stopped the 32-year-old businesswoman for additional verification after she had already cleared immigration for an international journey.

It was alleged that the accused took her to a men’s washroom under the pretext of further inspection and subjected her to an intrusive physical search without her consent and allegedly touched her inappropriately despite her objection.

Based on the complaint filed on January 19, 2026, airport police registered a case under Section 75(1)(i) (sexual harassment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
