Bengaluru, November 4: Just four days before the couple celebrated the birthday of husband and tasted the cake. But the fate snatched the life of her husband in an accident. In spite of the death of her husband, the grief-stricken eight-month-old pregnant wife took a noble decision of donating her husband’s eyes, kidney and heart.
Ballary-based Sharath Babu (30) sustained severe head injury when his bike collided with a car near BSF camp at Yelahanka on Ballary Road on October 31. Though he was admitted to a hospital, he has failed regain his consciousness. The doctors declared that he is brain dead. His wife Chandana is an eight-month-old pregnant. Though she has pain of losing her husband, she donated the eyes, kidneys and heart of her husband.
Sharath Babu was working as a cameraman and camera technician of cinema and documentaries. He had come to Bengaluru ten years ago in search of job and settled here. His friend Raju appreciated the decision of Chandana and his parents in donating the organs.

Kolkata (PTI): Seven people were arrested from the Parnashree area in the southern part of the city for allegedly running a fake call centre, a police officer said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house on Netaji Subhas Road on Friday night and found the fake call centre operating from the ground floor, he said.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had set up a bogus company using forged documents and posed as employees of an antivirus firm to call citizens in the US, the officer said.
"The callers would gain the trust of victims and then use remote access to take control of their phones or other digital devices. The accused allegedly siphoned off large sums of money, running into millions of dollars, from victims' accounts," he said.
Five laptops, two WiFi routers, six mobile phones and four headsets were seized from the accused, he said, adding that the seven are being questioned to ascertain the full extent of the racket and to identify others involved.
