Bengaluru: The dead body of a woman journalist was found in a hung state inside her residence at an apartment complex that falls under the White Field Police station’s jurisdiction. Suspecting murder, her family has registered a complaint with the police.
The police have identified the deceased as Shruthi (35), a journalist with the Reuters institution, it is learned.
Shruthi’s brother, Nishanth Narayanan registered a complaint with the police concerning her suspicious death and accused her husband Aneesh Koyadan of her murder.
Reportedly, Kerala-based Shruthi had gotten married to Aneesh in 2017. The couple had returned to Bengaluru and taken up residence at a flat in S.V. Maiper residential complex near Nelluruhalli at White Field. Aneesh, who was an employee at a private company used to reportedly harass Shruthi daily. He used to allegedly assault her citing that she sends the money earned through her salary to her parents, the complaint details.
On March 22, we had gone to Shruthi’s apartment during the morning. The door to the apartment had been locked. When we peeped in through the window, we did not see anybody inside. With the help of the security personnel, we broke open the door to the balcony and entered the home. We found Shruthi’s body hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom. We suspect that her husband has murdered her”, Nishanth has accused in his complaint.

Vijayapura (Karnataka) (PTI): Four members of a family were killed after the roof of an old rented house collapsed during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in this district, police said on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Gurunath Badigera (35), his wife Jyoti Badigera (28), and their two children, Kalamma Badigera (13) and Kirti Badigera (9), they said.
The incident occurred at Moratagi village of Alamela taluk in Vijayapura district, police said.
According to police, the family had been staying in the old rented house while repair work was underway at their own residence. The incident occurred on Thursday night when the roof of the house collapsed due to the heavy rain and wind.
All four members of the family were asleep when the roof of the house suddenly collapsed on them, following which they got trapped under the debris and died on the spot, a senior police officer said.
Personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services Department and the police rushed to the spot and undertook rescue operations to retrieve the bodies.
Police said the incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Sindagi Police Station. Senior police officials visited the spot and inspected the area. Further investigation is underway.
