Bagalkot, October 16: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah said that BJP state President BS Yeddyurappa was a liar and he has to face a biggest shock.
Responding to Yeddyurappa’s statement that the Congress has to face the shock, Siddaramaiah told reporters at Jamkhandi on Tuesday that “If Yeddyurappa opens his mouth, he speaks lie. He has been murmuring that the government will collapse. But the government is still safe”, he said.
No differences
There was no difference in Ballary Congress. After discussing the pros and cons, the Congress has fielded the candidate. All leaders would work hard to elect the party candidate, he clarified.
The Congress and JDS have made an alliance in the by-election. The Congress has not fielded its candidates in some places. In the same way, JDS has not fielded its candidates. The Congress-JDS coalition would win all the seats in the by-election, he said.

Suvendu Adhikari's personal assistant shot at
Kolkata (PTI): BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari's personal assistant Chandranath Rath was shot at from close range by unidentified assailants in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Wednesday night, sources said.
The incident took place in the Madhyamgram area, where the victim, who serves as the executive assistant to the leader of opposition in the state assembly, was allegedly targeted on a public road, they said.
Rath sustained multiple bullet injuries in the firing and was rushed to a private hospital, sources added.
Soon after the incident, a large police contingent reached the spot and launched an investigation.
The motive behind the attack was not immediately known.
Senior police officers were present in the area, and efforts were on to identify and trace those involved in the shooting, sources said.
