Bengaluru: The police have arrested the accused in connection with a bomb threat call made to an IT company in Bellandur, Bangalore. The arrested individual is Navneet Prasad, a former employee of the company. On June 13, an anonymous caller contacted the IT company in Bellandur and claimed that a bomb had been planted within the premises, warning that it would detonate imminently.

The Bellandur police initiated a case in response to the incident and traced the mobile number used to make the bomb threat. It was determined that the call originated from Navneet Prasad, who had previously worked for the company.

Investigation revealed that a dispute had occurred between the accused and a team leader, during which Navneet had requested to meet the company's managing director. However, due to his inappropriate behavior, he was dismissed without being granted the meeting. Subsequently, the police uncovered evidence indicating that Navneet, driven by anger, had made the false bomb threat to the company. Acting on a complaint filed by the company staff, law enforcement authorities arrested the accused.
