Cabinet expansion after council polls
Bengaluru: Congress leaders have decided to expand the state cabinet after the Council elections.
It has been learnt that this decision has been taken at a meeting chaired by Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday.
A problem might arise in the party if the Cabinet expanded before the Legislative Council polls. The Cabinet expansion has been postponed due to the possibility of the rise of rebellions within the party if the MLAs who are already lobbying for the cabinet berth are disappointed.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi has reportedly asked the state leaders to meet him again on October 3.

Two labourers die as soil caves in at construction site in Ranchi
Ranchi (PTI): Two labourers died after soil caved in at an under-construction apartment complex in Ranchi, police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened near Ram Temple in the Gonda police station area on Monday, they said.
"Both victims were working at the construction site. The bodies were handed over to their family members," SP (City) Paras Rana said.
Both the deceased hailed from Thakurgaon in Burmu block, police said, adding that an investigation has been ordered.
