Bengaluru: In a major relief to the Karnataka coalition government, assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar on Tuesday morning asserted that the resignations of the disgruntled MLAs cannot be accepted before meeting them in person.
The speaker added that the resignations tendered by the 9 Congress MLAs and 3 JD(S) MLAs cannot be accepted before meeting them.
Kumar further added that “The MLAs had not informed me in advance about their resignations. I can’t help it if they came to my office to meet me when I was unavailable. Going by the regulations, they should meet me first and submit their resignations”.

"Operating vehicles in a reckless manner on public roads is a non-negotiable violation of the law," a senior traffic police officer said.
"An FIR has been registered under sections pertaining to rash and negligent driving and endangering human life," the officer added.
