Car rams into tree in Chikkamagalur; three killed, three others injured
Chikkamagalur: A tragic accident killed three people on the spot while critically injuring three others in the wee hours of Friday when a Toyota car rammed into a tree beside road at Uddeboranahalli of Chikkamagaluru Taluk here.
The deceased have been identified as Mahesh, Nagraj and Suresh, all three residents of Ballari District.
According to the reports the accident took place when the victims were on their way back to Ballari after visiting Dharmasthala on Thursday. The driver reportedly lost control over the wheels and rammed into a tree, killing three on the spot and injuring three others on the car.
Local police rushed to the spot and registered a case.

Uttarakhand: Three women killed as vehicle plunges into gorge in Dehradun
Dehradun (PTI): Three women died on Tuesday after their utility vehicle fell into a gorge in the Kalsi tehsil here, police said.
According to the police, the incident occurred at Gangro village, about 55 kilometres from the tehsil headquarters. Five other passengers were injured in the accident.
Police said the eight people were travelling the vehicle at the time of the accident. One woman died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries during treatment at a hospital.
All the victims were local residents, they added.
