Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police officers conducted a raid on the houses of more than 20 rowdy-sheeters in the city on Wednesday and seized weapons and documents from the houses.

The police raided the houses of rowdy-sheeters, including Ramesh and Jagadish alias Tommy, some of whom had been absconding and had also failed to appear before court in spite of the issue of warrants. The CCB police officers found cheques and signed documents in some of the houses. Some of the rowdy-sheeters were also found to have been running usury and real estate businesses.

The officers, who raided the houses of rowdy-sheeters all over Bengaluru city simultaneously on Wednesday, said that they are investigating the matter further and collecting more information on the rowdy-sheeters.

Bengaluru: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge has alleged involvement of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in a money transfer network at global level.

Posting his allegation on his personal ‘X’ account on Saturday morning, Kharge said that he was referring to an issue that had not been dealt with decisively by Indian media houses.

“Here is a crucial story that the Indian media will never touch,” the minister has said, and clarified, “This so-called “body of individuals” has built a global network of over 2,500 affiliated organisations. Through these fronts, the RSS collects “guru dakshina” to fuel its divisive agenda. (sic)”

Kharge has further alleged, “The world’s largest NGO is running amok, laundering money and evading accountability.”
