Bengaluru, Jan 10: KPCC Election Campaigning Committee president HK Patil said that the central government has failed to resolve the problems of the poor and the farmers.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Patil said that the BJP government at the centre was limited to speeches. It has completely failed to provide solutions to the problems of the poor, labourers, farmers and other sections of the society.
The forthcoming Lok Sabha elections were very crucial in the interest of the country. People were aware of the present developments in the country. People have understood the corruption and looting of money in the Narendra Modi government. Even then, the BJP has been trying to mislead the people through false promises and propaganda, he alleged.
It was unfortunate that the central government has been claiming the programmes of the UPA government as its programmes and creating confusion in the country. The BJP government has been nurturing the corruption in corporate method. PM Modi who should have answered the questions of AICC president Rahul Gandhi, was not attending the Parliament Session. Though the BJP leaders were speaking against the corruption, they were keeping mum on Lokpal Bill, he said.
The central government has been misusing the Constitutional agencies. It has removed the CBI chief overnight. For the first time in the history of the independent India, four Supreme Court judges had warned that the democracy in the country was at stake, he said.
The Congress would go to poll keeping the failures of the BJP government and achievements of the UPA government. The Congress would reach every citizen. Though the Congress was a partner in coalition government, it has its own image and identity. The coalition government would complete it's full term. Though there some confusions, both Rahul Gandhi and HD Deve Gowda would solve them, he said.
No dissatisfaction
"I am not dissatisfied for not inducting into the cabinet. There are only 33 portfolios. But the Campaigning Committee president post is only one. So I don't have any displeasure".
