Chikmagalur: In an incident that reportedly occurred on Saturday, a bus conductor experienced a heart-attack on-board the government bus and passed away in the early hours at Malayamaaruti in Mudigere Taluk of Chikmagalur District.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay (43). He was working as the conductor on the Chikmagalur- Udupi KSRTC bus, it is learned. The bus in which Vijay was on duty, had left from Chikmagalur around 6.30 am on Saturday. When the bus reached Malayamaaruti around 8.30 am, Vijay is said to have experienced a heart attack.
He was immediately taken to the Banakal Hospital and given preliminary treatment and later taken to the Mudigere Hospital. However, by then he had breathed his last, it is learned.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority has released the syllabus for the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted in 2025 for admission to professional courses including engineering, on its website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/.
Executive Director of KEA, H. Prasanna on Saturday issued a notification, advising students to use the syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology from both First and Second PUC as outlined on the portal.
"This syllabus has been prepared based on the NCRTC syllabus and the textbooks published by the School Education, PUE Department," the announcement read. Furthermore, H. Prasanna explained that it has also been reviewed by subject experts from PU colleges.
