Clash between BJP, Congress workers in B’luru, FIR lodged
Bengaluru: Police have lodged FIR, following a clash here, between workers of the BJP and the Congress, where many workers and even police staff members were injured.
The clash broke out on Friday at a ground in Govindrajnagar in the city, where the Congress workers were erecting banners and posters of their leaders for a women’s convention to be held on Sunday, and the BJP workers opposed it.
The workers attacked each others with stones and sticks, forcing the police to resort to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.
DCP Laxman Nimbargi said, both groups pelted stones at each other. “Police personnel were also injured. Three FIRs have been registered in connection with the incident,” he added.

US–Iran first round direct talks conclude in Islamabad: Report

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
