Bengaluru, November 15: The Karnataka High Court has directed the colleges and universities not to keep the original documents of the students and thus gave a big relief to the doctors who were suffering as their original documents were in the custody of universities.

In her application, Dr TK Reshma of Ballari appealed the High Court to direct the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences of Ballari to return the original documents produced during the admission. She also said that after her graduation, she has to work in rural areas. In view of this, the College has withheld the documents. But she does not know on what basis, the college has kept the documents, she mentioned in her application.

Considering this seriously, the High Court said that the applicant and the people would require their original documents for their future jobs and further studies. The colleges would require a legal binding to keep the documents. But the college has not shown any of such legal binding and directed the college to return all the original documents to the applicant.
