Bengaluru: Condemning the arrest of Congress activists on charges of posting the controversial ‘PAYCM’ posters here, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D K Shivakumar has stated that the party legislators would themselves post the placards on Friday.

Addressing reporters in the city on Thursday, the senior Congress leader said a campaign would be held against the arrest.

“All the Congress members of the Legislative Council will undertake the work in objection to an unfounded accusation and arrest thereby. We will stick the posters on the building walls of a government office in a Bengaluru locality,” he challenged.

Calling it a joint decision of the Congressmen, the president stated further that an act of posting placards was, by no means, illegal.

Shivakumar also gave a call to the party legislators, “Every member of the party should participate in the campaign on Friday.”
