Congress forms screening Committee for candidates of Karnataka Assembly Elections
Bengaluru: The All India Congress Committee on Monday constituted the Screening Committee for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections.
The committee will be headed by Chairman Mohan Prakash while Neeraj Dangi, Mohammad Jawed, and Saptagiri Ulaka have been made the members of the committee.
The Ex-Officio Members of the committee include DK Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah, Randeep Singh Surjewala, BK Hariprasad, MB Patil, Dr. G Parameshwara and AICC Secretaries in-charge of the state.
The notification was issued by KC Venugopal, adding that the committee was approved by the party president Mallikarjun Kharge.

US–Iran first round direct talks conclude in Islamabad: Report

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
