Bengaluru: Revenue Minister R Ashoka has said that as many as 10 members of the Congress in Karnataka will soon be joining the BJP.

Addressing reporters in the city on Monday, the minister said that a growing number of people were quitting the Congress, which is on a downslide in the country. “It is a sinking ship,” he opined.

“Now too, there are 10 Congressmen in the state who wish to join the BJP,” Ashoka said.

The minister also pointed out to about 15 legislators quitting the Congress a couple of years ago, since they were unhappy with the coalition government in the state. Ashoka said, “The Congress, which could not prevent such an exodus, can no longer stop its members from quitting the party.”
