Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Urban Development Minister Dr G Parameshwar has assured that the government would take measures to provide healthcards and other government facilities to the contract-based civic workers.
He was speaking to the media after conveying a meeting with contract-based paurakarmikas union at Sadashiva Nagar BDA Quarters.
The DCM has instructed the authorities concerned to provide healthcards to the labours.

Shops to remain open till midnight during Ramadan in Mangaluru
Mangaluru: In a major relief for last-minute shoppers ahead of Ramadan, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy on Thursday announced that shops have been granted permission to operate till 12 midnight.
He made the announcement while speaking to the media in the city.
“Many people had requested to keep shops open till midnight on Thursday. Accordingly, shops in the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate have been allowed to remain open till 12 midnight today (Thursday),” he said.
