Deaths after consuming ‘Prasad’ at temple: CM visits Hospital
Rs 5 lakh compensation announced
Bengaluru, Dec 14: Soon after returning from Chennai on Friday evening, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy held a meeting of senior officers at the Airport on Sulvadi village tragedy.
CM announced Rs 5 lakh compensation to each family of the victims. Later, the CM flew to Mysuru in a special flight and visited KR Hospital and JSS Hospital where those who fell sick after consuming ‘Prasad’ were admitted. Total 15 ambulances were sent to the tragedy spot from Mysuru. The CM directed the Mysuru and Chamarajanagar deputy commissioners to bear the hospital expenses of the victims. He also directed the DGP to investigate into the tragedy and submit a report to him shortly.

Saudi Arabia intercepts drone near gas facility in Eastern Province
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence has said it intercepted and destroyed a drone that was attempting to approach a gas facility in the country’s Eastern Province.
According to a spokesperson, the drone was detected and neutralised before it could reach its target.
No damage was reported in the incident.
