Bengaluru, May 2: Vatal Nagaraj of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Party is known for his different mannerisms and protests every time. But this time, he is in news for different issue. This time, Vatal and his party is in news for the issues taken up in the election manifesto. In his election manifesto, he promised free hair cutting and shaving facility for middle class people, formation of Donkeys Development Board for a comprehensive development of donkeys, Rs 50,000 financial assistance to the marriage of lovers and other promises, released here on Wednesday.

Releasing the manifesto at a private hotel here on Wednesday, he said that the national political parties which made Delhi as their head quarters do not have any concerns over the state. Those who have went to jail, outsiders, real estate persons have been joining the council of Amith Shah. There are no candidates who could raise their voice in favour of Kannada or Karnataka, he said.

In his manifesto, he promised of introducing Kannada in all levels of administration from gram panchayat to Assembly, job opportunities to those who have studied in Kannada medium, development of border area, screening of Kannada films in state and other states, financial assistance to professional theatre, installation of busts of noted personalities. If an auto driver dies of accident during driving, the driver would be given Rs 1 lakh compensation along with Health Insurance, construction of auto stand, Kannada Bhavan, withdrawal of mandatory of wearing helmet and giving Rs 1 lakh to the marriage of girls, he said.

Modi cheated Kannadigas:

Due to superstition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not visit Chamarajnagar which is an insult to Kannadigas. Because of the belief that those who visit Chamarajnagar would lose power, Modi did not visit Chamarajanagar, he said.

Davangere: Reports state that two groups engaged in stone pelting at each other during Ganesha idol immersion ceremony in Davangere on Thursday. Two police personnel were injured in the incident.

Few days ago, two groups of youth engaged in verbal altercation regarding raising of a flag for Eid Milad celebration. On account of the clashes, police had heightened security for the Ganesha procession. Despite the additional security, stones were pelted at the procession, sources stated. Inspector Gururaj and constable Raghavendra were injured in the incident. The procession continued after the police brought the situation to control. However, the stone pelting resumed once again as the procession surged forwards.

Security has been tightened up in the area and all shops have been closed down by the police. The two police personnel, who were injured in the stone pelting, are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
