Bengaluru: A 27-year-old delivery executive was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a woman at a shopping mall in Bengaluru during Christmas celebrations, police said on Monday.
The accused has been identified as Manoj Chand, a native of Assam, who was working with an online food delivery platform, reported by NDTV.

According to police, the incident occurred on December 25 when the woman had visited the mall along with her husband and child. The mall was crowded with visitors celebrating Christmas.
The woman was standing next to a large Christmas tree inside the mall, when the accused, allegedly under the influence of alcohol touched her inappropriately and fled, a senior police officer said.
The woman immediately alerted her husband and informed police personnel deployed at the mall as part of security arrangements for the festive rush. Acting swiftly, the police chased and apprehended the accused within the mall premises.
As per the report, a case was registered against the accused under section 74 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and he was arrested, further investigation is underway, police said.

Bantwal: A 15-year-old boy died after coming into contact with an electric wire in Gadiara village on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shaheer, son of Sharif, a resident of Neralakatte.
Shaheer, an SSLC student at Mountain View English Medium School, Puttur, had gone to his grandfather’s house in nearby Gadiara village during the school holidays. He came into contact with an electric wire and died at the scene.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, two sisters, and family members.
