Bengaluru, August 01: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao said that those who speak against the JDS-Congress coalition government in public would have to face the disciplinary action.

Addressing the youth Congress workers of Bengaluru urban and rural districts here on Wednesday, the KPCC president said that it was the responsibility of every party worker including the MLAs to strengthen the coalition government. Keeping in mind the future, AICC president Rahul Gandhi and party leaders have allowed to form coalition government. Party leaders of all cadres should follow the high command direction to make the party more strong in future, he said.

“The coalition government is a few days old child. If leaders raise voice against it now, it would be difficult to run the government. So, the party leaders should be with the coalition government and cooperate to introduce pro-people development works for the overall development of the state”, he said.

In order to educate the party workers and strengthen them in booth level, the party has introduced ‘Shakti’ programme. AICC president Rahul Gandhi and the KPCC president would be in touch with the booth-level party worker. The party responsibility in local level would be given to the honest party workers, he said.

MLC Rizwan Harshad said that election of Dinesh Gundu Rao as the KPCC president has encouraged the NSUI and the Youth Congress workers and leaders. Effective programmes would be conducted to strengthen the party under the leadership of Gundurao, he said.

Anekal MLA Shivanna, Yeshwanthpur MLA ST Somashekar, AICC secretary Saleem Ahmed, party leaders VS Aaradhya, Kenche Gowda, Abdul Wazeed, Swaroop Kumar, S Manohar and others were present.

“Previous Siddaramaiah government has given various good programmes that no other previous governments had given. In spite of it, we were defeated. We will not win the election just because of implementing the popular programmes. False propaganda of the BJP has eclipsed the popular programmes of the Siddaramaiah government. So, the party booth level workers should educate the people against the false propaganda of the BJP effectively”.

Bengaluru (PTI): Two men were arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two minor girls, recording the acts on mobile phones and uploading the videos online as child sexual abuse material, police said on Thursday.

The accused have been identified as Kiran Kumar (29), hailing from Chitradurga district, and Aditya M K (20), hailing from Shivamogga district, they said.

A probe was initiated after information was received from the NCRP portal regarding a suspected instance of creation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) for online dissemination, police said.

Accordingly, a case was registered at Kaggalipura Police Station under relevant sections of the IT Act on May 10, they added.

Investigation revealed that two minor girl victims were exploited and videos were created and uploaded to the internet. The child victims have subsequently recorded their statements as per procedure and further necessary legal steps have been taken, Pronab Mohanty Director General of Police, Cyber Command, said in a statement.

Based on the statements of the victims, the accused persons, who allegedly assaulted the minors, recorded the acts on mobile phones and uploaded the videos online, were arrested, he said.

Following the probe, sections 65(2) (rape) and 70 (gangrape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant sections of the POCSO Act, have been added to the FIR, police said.

Officials collected relevant information and on May 12, arrested the accused persons and seized three mobile phones belonging to them, in which the videos had allegedly been recorded, he said.

The accused were later produced before the court and taken into police custody for further investigation, he added.

According to him, in CSAM cases, police usually apprehend offenders who have downloaded such content or have kept them in their possession after obtaining them from elsewhere, usually the internet.

"The present case is one of the very few instances where content creators and uploaders have been apprehended," Mohanty added.
