Bellary: Minister KS Eshwarappa's son-in-law, BJP General Secretary KA Ramalingappa expressed outrage against MLA Somashekhara Reddy, saying: "Do not threaten anyone else by using the name of former minister Janardhan Reddy, Sriramulu. Nobody will scare by your threats.
Speaking to reporters in the city on Tuesday, he said, "We are not from those who change parties every day and night. You (Somashekhar Reddy) are responsible for the Sanna Fakkirappa's defeat. Don't ruin party discipline," he said.
It's not three years since he came to the party. Is it correct to issue the letter of recommendation to Somasekharareddy's close friend Dammur Shekhar. He lied that Sriramulu and Devedrappa had issued the recommendation letter. Who is Anand to give the letter of recommendation. Is he there in the party. Have you thought that you can do anything you want, and hijack the party? That's your nightmare. What does the district in-charge minister knows about the district. Government appointments must be made through the Core Committee as per party discipline. It is not right to hijack it.
Mass resignation: Protesting against the appointment of Dammur Shekhar as BUDA chairman, 48 office bearers of BJP, including Bellary district president, tendered mass resignation on Tuesday.
Dammur Shekhar's appointment order cancelled: The state government has withdrawn the order to appoint Dammur Shekhar as chairman of Bellary Urban Development Authority. The decision was taken following the mass resignation of Bellary local BJP leaders, office bearers and activists in opposition to the appointment of MLA Somashekhar Reddy's aide Dammur Shekhar as BUDA chairman.

New Delhi/Srinagar (PTI): The National Investigation Agency on Monday conducted searches at various locations in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with its probe into the Red Fort car bomb blast case, officials said.
“The searches are being conducted at nine places in various locations of J-K,” an NIA spokesperson said.
The locations included the Handwara area of Kupwara district, Rafiabad in Baramullah district, and places in Kulgam and Srinagar districts, among others, the officials said.
At least 13 people were killed, and several others were injured in the blast near the Red Fort that shook the national capital on November 10 last year.
The blast was triggered by suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi, a medical doctor and assistant professor at Al Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana, who blew up an explosive-laden car he was driving outside the iconic monument.
The NIA has so far arrested 11 accused in the case.
