Bengaluru, June 8: More than 20 MLAs who missed the ministerial berths in the JDS-Congress coalition government have decided to show their strength before the Congress high command under the leadership of former minister MB Patil.

It is said that along with MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, NA Haris, MTB Nagaraj, Dr K Sudhakar, BC Patil, HK Patil, Eshwar Khandre, CS Shivalli, T Raghumurthy, R Roshan Baig, BK Sangamesh, V Muniyappa, Tukaram, PT Parameshwar Nayak, Shivaram Hebbar, B Narayan, MLC HM Revanna and others have teamed up to show their strength.

They would leave for New Delhi either on Saturday or Sunday and apprise the party high command. Though dissident activity was at the peak level for the last couple of days after the formation of the cabinet, no national leader has tried to intervene to solve the problem and this attitude has irked the MLAs, it is said.

Amidst the efforts of MB Patil, HK Patil, Shamanur Shivashankarappa and others to prevail upon the party high command by conducting series of separate meetings, the move of MP DK Suresh for the appointment of AICC president Rahul Gandhi has created curiosity. It is said that DK Suresh would take a delegation of MPs and apprise the party high command about the dissident activities in the state. Moreover, he would also discuss the appointment of KPCC president, it is said.

“Let us fight collectively. All the 20 MLAs should be together. No problem if one or two MLAs left the group for minister posts. Let us decide on the future course of action in a couple of days”.
