Dr. Mohamed Rela to treat Siddaganga Mutt Swamiji
Bengaluru: Renowned liver transplant surgeon Dr. Mohamed Rela of Chennai is expected to treat Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Mutt, who has been diagnosed with the liver tube infection.
On Thursday, the doctors' team including Dr. Ravindra of BGS Hospital and Siddaganga Hospital and Research Centre's head Dr Parameshwarappa had flown to Chennai to take a second opinion on the treatment by Dr Mohamed Rela, who had previously performed a liver transplantation on a 5-day old baby.
Based on his opinion, the doctors' team has decided to shift the ailing seer to Chennai. According to a media report, the seer would be admitted to Dr Rela Institute and Medical Center in Chennai where Dr. Mohamed Rela would treat him.
The seer has already left for Chennai.

Karnataka Governor Gehlot greets people on Yugadi
Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the eve of Yugadi.
In his message, the Governor wished for happiness, health and prosperity for all in the new year.
"Warmest greetings to the people of Karnataka on the occasion of Ugadi. May this new year bring happiness, health, and prosperity to everyone's life. May all the bitterness of life be removed and sweetness like jaggery be in your life," he said.
