Kalam Ka Karwaan has emerged as a distinctive initiative aimed at promoting Hindi literature and its writers while connecting them with the contemporary technological age. More than just a literary event, it represents a progressive vision conceptualized by Jamshedpur famous writer Ansuman Bhagat, who seeks to create a meaningful bridge between traditional literary expression and today’s digital generation. Organized under the banner of Sahityasindhika, the program focuses on presenting the real-life struggles, experiences, and creative journeys of Hindi authors. The objective is to transform these lived experiences into inspirational “footprints” for today’s youth, offering them guidance, motivation, and a deeper understanding of the dedication behind literary success.
The initiative was first launched in the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, where renowned and eminent local writers shared their life journeys, hardships, and literary insights. The event highlighted that literature is not merely about reading written works, but about understanding the emotional resilience, discipline, and perseverance that shape an author’s voice. According to Ansuman Bhagat, literature in today’s digital and fast-paced era requires new forms of presentation and meaningful dialogue. Kalam Ka Karwaan is a step in that direction bringing literature beyond conventional platforms and making it more accessible, interactive, and relevant to younger audiences.
This platform is specially dedicated to Hindi language, Hindi writers, and lovers of Hindi literature. Through open and honest conversations, senior and contemporary authors share life experiences that often remain undocumented in books but serve as guiding lessons for the next generation.
After its successful beginning in Jamshedpur, preparations are underway to expand the initiative to major literary centers such as Delhi, Mumbai, Banaras, and Lucknow. The vision is to establish a nationwide series of literary dialogues where writers openly narrate their struggles and inspire youth across cities. Kalam Ka Karwaan marks the beginning of a positive and creative movement in Hindi literature one that harmonizes tradition with technology and seeks to give literature a renewed direction in modern times.
