Belagavi: Municipal Administration Minister Rahim Khan announced that the process of issuing e-property documents, similar to A-Khata and B-Khata under the BBMP model, will soon be implemented across all urban local bodies in Karnataka.
Responding to a question raised by BJP member Chidananda Gowda during the Legislative Council's Question Hour on Tuesday, Khan said the state government is planning to extend the provisions of Section 144(6) and (21) of the BBMP Act, 2020, to all municipal corporations and urban local bodies.
The Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, and the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, have already been amended and published in the official Gazette to enable this extension. "Accordingly, steps are being taken to amend the relevant rules for implementation," Khan clarified.
