Eight-year-old girl in Raichur critically injured in stray dog attack
parents accuse panchayat officers of negligence
Raichur: An eight-year-old girl sustained grievous injuries in an incident of stray dog attack in Marchetahala village of the taluk on Saturday morning and is being treated at a local hospital.
The injured girl, Chaithra, was walking to a field near her house at around 9.30 am to answer nature’s call, when she was attacked by a pack of 15 stray dogs. The girl was seriously injured on the ears, neck and back in the attack and her condition is learned to be critical.
Chaithra’s parents and relatives have accused the Gram Panchayat authorities of being negligent with regard to stray dog menace and have demanded that officials take necessary action immediately to curb stray dog menace.
