BJP state president B Y Vijayendra said that the failure of law and order in Karnataka was being discussed in the whole country. Murders were rampant and police themselves had to be protected in Channagiri, he stated. He was addressing the media in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
“Matka scams are rampant in the state. Illegal activities happen without any fear. It’s been a year since Congress came to power. It has no achievements to show for the past year. All developments have come to a standstill in the state. Neither the Honorable Chief Minister nor any single minister has laid any foundation stone or initiated any developmental works. No new projects are announced” Vijayendra said.
Prophesying disappointment to congress after Lok Sabha results, Vijayendra taunted Madhu Bangarappa by saying that he would ask the Yuva Morcha cadre to raise a donation for the education minister’s haircutting. He accused the minister of not knowing Kannada properly and alleged that the private contractors who outsource temporary workforce were given the responsibility of appointing guest teachers in Bengaluru. “This show how seriously the education minister has taken his department”, he added.

B Y Vijayendra questioned the human concern and honesty of CM and Dy CM in relation to the death of an accountant in Scheduled Tribes Development department. He alleged that a scam involving more than 187 crore had happened in the department. “Congress accused our government of corruption during the last Vidhan Sabha elections and came to power by repeating a lie 100 times. Now it is proved that Congress is the forefather of corruption”, he stated.
