Bengaluru: Rajarajeshwari Nagar MLA Munirathna, already facing multiple criminal cases, including those related to rape, honey-trapping, and corruption, is now entangled in a new controversy.
An FIR has been registered at the RMC Yard police station, accusing the MLA of demolishing houses belonging to daily wage labourers in the Peenya Industrial Area.
Over 50 families residing in the Akkamahadevi slum near Peenya First Grade College have alleged that Munirathna and his associates brought a JCB and demolished their homes without prior notice.

Mangaluru: Police open fire on accused in Kotekar Cooperative Society robbery case
Ullal: The Mangaluru City Crime Branch police opened fire on an accused in the Kotekar Cooperative Society robbery case on Tuesday near Katungara Gudde in Talapady.
The accused, identified as Kannan Mani, a resident of Chembur Tilak Nagar in Mumbai, was in police custody when the incident occurred. According to officials, he attempted to escape while being taken to the crime scene as part of the investigation.
