Bengaluru: An FIR has been registered at the Amruthahalli police station in connection with the pasting of ‘missing’ posters of Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda at various locations in the city.

Videos of the posters claiming the Minister had gone missing were circulating across social media platforms.

The FIR was lodged following a complaint by an Assistant Engineer of the BESCOM Byatarayanapura subdivision, who alleged that unidentified persons pasted posters on roadside transformers and walls, thereby damaging public property and affecting the city’s aesthetics.

Acting on the complaint, the police have registered a case against unknown persons.

The identity of those responsible for pasting the posters is yet to be ascertained.

CCTV footage from the areas where the posters were found is being examined, and further investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the act, the police said.
