Bengaluru: Amir-e-Shariat Maulana Sagir Ahmad Khan Rashadi has given a call to compulsorily follow the lockdown restrictions during the month of Ramadan.
He made the announcement at a meeting of Imarat-e-Sharia leaders held at Darul Uloom Sabilurrashad (Arabic College) in the city on Tuesday.
Ramazan fastings should not be missed without valid reasons. As already mentioned, five namaz of the day should be performed at home and do not go to mosques. Taraweeh Namaz should be performed at home along with family members, he said.
Strictly avoid roaming outside during the days and night of Ramazan. Arrangements to awaken people for Sehri by using loudspeakers should be avoided during the lockdown period. Everyone should follow the government's instructions to buy and sell the goods. Muezzin or Imam of the masjid can make an announcement regarding the end of Sehri and the beginning of Iftar, as usual, he instructed.
Any kind of Sehri or Iftar parties should be completely avoided. Spend your Zakat and Sadaqah to help your relatives and neighbors and do not forget to help poor and needy, he urged.
During the blessed hours of Iftar and Tahajjud, special duas should be made for the wellbeing of our country and the entire humanity, and for the liberation from this difficult situation. Parents, guardians and responsible members should stop their children and people under their influence from any activity that can harm the interest of our country and our community, Maulana guided.
Youths are specially advised to not roam around in two-wheelers or four-wheelers during night and not to do wheeling. It is strictly prohibited to go outside; any violation of law will result in strict action from the police, maulana warned.
Special request:
Madrasas are an asset of our Deen and community, it is our duty to safeguard and continue them. Therefore, please continue your contributions to the Madrasa as usual and try to deliver it by yourself, Maulana Rashadi urged.
Responsible members of masjids and madrasas are requested to take good care of the imam, muezzin, teachers and support staff. Please do not make any deduction in their salaries," Mualana requested.
State Wakf Board President Dr Muhammad Yousuf, Maulana Maqsud Imran Rashadi, Mufti Iftikhar Ahmed Qasmi, Maulana Syed Shabbir Ahmed Nadvi and others were present.
