Bengaluru: Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner G. Jagadish has issued a summons notice to former Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B. Dayanand to appear for questioning on June 13 in connection with the tragic stampede incident near Chinnaswamy Stadium that claimed the lives of 11 people.
In parallel with the ongoing CID investigation, a separate inquiry is being conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner G. Jagadish. As part of this inquiry, statements from individuals injured during the incident have already been recorded.
B. Dayanand, who was among five senior officers suspended by the state government over alleged security lapses during the RCB victory celebration event, is now expected to provide his statement before the inquiry panel.
Additionally, serious allegations have surfaced against Satyavati, Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), concerning the mishandling of official correspondence related to the event. Sources suggest she too may soon receive a notice to appear before the inquiry panel.
