Former Minister Baburao Chinchansur injured in car accident
Kalaburagi: Former Minister and Congress candidate from the Gurumathkal constituency in Yadgir district Baburao Chinchansur’s car met with an accident late on Friday night, injuring Baburao.
It is reported that the accident took place at around 2 pm near All India Radio station in the city.
Baburao, who is a Congress candidate from Gurumathakal constituency in Yadgir district, has his house at Shantinagar in Kalaburagi. He was returning home after campaigning in the constituency when the accident took place.
Chinchanasur, who was in the car, sustained injuries on his head, face and legs and was rushed to a city hospital by locals.

Elderly man dies after part of slab falls on him in Mumbai
Mumbai (PTI): A 75-year-old man died after some portion of a slab in a two-storey residential structure collapsed on him in Mumbai's Bhandup area on Saturday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred at Tulshipada in Patkar Compound of Bhandup West around 9.45 am, they said.
"The victim, identified as Susai Daevdas Kaunder, was injured when some part of the slab on the upper floor of a two-storey structure fell on him," a civic official said.
He was immediately taken to nearby Navkaar Hospital, where he was declared dead, the official said.
