Kalaburgi, September 17: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy lashed out at BJP president BS Yeddyurappa indirectly that the latter who has been claiming that he has 104 MLAs with him was the real hypocrite and he was the real villain to the coalition government.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, the CM said that he has never mentioned any one's name as kingpins who have been trying to destabilize the coalition government. But the BJP people have been touching their backs. They have been floating rumours saying that the Congress MLAs would resign. No Congress MLAs or leaders were the villains for the government. You have to find out who is the real villain to the coalition government, he asked scribes.

The coalition government was stable in the state under the protection of former chief minister Siddaramaiah. Many people do not know this truth. The government would complete its full five years tenure under the protection of Siddaramaiah, he said.

Unnecessarily, his name was being dragged into some issues. Siddaramaiah has been cooperating with the government fully. The state government has no confusions and the reports that the coalition government has threat from Siddaramaiah were far from truth. BJP people have been making futile attempts to destabilize the government due to which they have been creating confusions by giving meaningless statements, he said.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government will take special initiatives to provide NEET coaching to students from rural areas, Medical Education, Skill Development and Livelihood Minister Dr Sharanaprakash R. Patil told the Legislative Council on Monday.

According to The New Indian Express, during the Question Hour, Congress MLC Ivan D’Souza raised concerns that the NEET system is depriving rural students of medical education and questioned whether poor students from rural areas can afford the coaching with just Rs 3 lakh provided.

Responding to the issue, Patil said the NEET system has not reduced the number of medical seats in the state, nor has it caused any shortage.

He said that while they had decided to scrap the NEET system, the Supreme Court had ruled in its favour.

The minister assured that the government will introduce various measures to provide more effective NEET coaching to rural students so that they can compete better in the examination.
