Shivamogga: Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has strongly urged the media to refrain from implicating him and his father, HD Deve Gowda, in the recent JDS MP Prajwal Revanna pen drive scandal.

Addressing reporters at a press conference in Shivamogga, Kumaraswamy expressed frustration, questioning why their names were being dragged into the case.

"Why are you bringing HD Deve Gowda's name into the pen drive case? Why are you bringing my name?" he questioned, his tone sharp with bitterness. He further spoke on the importance of punishing the culprits responsible for the scandal, stressing that it not only tarnishes his reputation but also impacts society as a whole.

Kumaraswamy vehemently stated that he refuses to shoulder responsibility for the scandal and further said that those found guilty must face appropriate consequences. With an FIR already filed, he urged for a thorough investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to uncover the truth.

As he concluded, Kumaraswamy called for transparency, urging authorities to reveal who was behind the placement of the pen drive in Hassan. "Let the truth come out. Let the SIT investigate and report," he declared.
