Bengaluru: The elder brother of a victim has taken legal action by filing a writ petition in the High Court, demanding the arrest of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa in connection with a POCSO case.

Allegations state that despite filing a complaint against Yediyurappa on March 14, there has been no substantial progress in the case. Represented by Senior Advocate Balan, the petitioner highlights a lack of collection of vital evidence, including panchanama, even after three months since the complaint. Additionally, a video recording of Yeidyurappa's speech adds weight to the plea for his arrest and interrogation.

In response to the petition, the CID issued a notice for Yediyurappa to attend the hearing. However, as he failed to appear, the CID has now approached the People's Representatives Court seeking a non-bailable warrant against him. If granted, this warrant could lead to Yediyurappa's arrest by the CID, escalating legal troubles for the former CM.
