HM Amit Shah to attend host of events in poll-bound Karnataka on March 24
Bengaluru, Mar 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in poll-bound Karnataka on Friday to attend a host of events.
According to his official tour programme, Shah will be reaching Bengaluru on Thursday at about 11 pm and will stay at a five-star hotel.
On Friday, Shah is set to attend the Regional Conference with Southern States and Union Territories on Smuggling of Narcotics and National Security from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
Shah, who also holds the cooperation portfolio, will then visit Kommaghatta village on the outskirts of Bengaluru where he will lay the foundation stone of the Sahakara Samruddhi Soudha'.
He will also inaugurate various other programmes related to the ministry of cooperation.
According to BJP sources, he will visit the state once again on March 26.
In between Shah's back-to-back visit on March 24 and 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend events in Bengaluru and Davangere on March 25.
Shah was in Bidar on March 3 to launch the Vijaya Sankalpa Yatre'.
The BJP is trying hard to woo the electorate of Karnataka to return their government to power again in the assembly election, which is due in May this year.

KSRTC to run 1000 special services to clear Christmas rush
Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation will operate 1000 additional special services in view of the Christmas festival.
In addition to the existing schedule, the special services will run on 19.12.2025, 20.12.2025 and 24.12.2025. Further, special buses will be operated from various places of intra & Interstate places to Bengaluru on 26.12.2025 & 28.12.2025.
Special buses will be exclusively operated from Bengaluru Kempegowda Bus Station to Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Shringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubbali, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places.

Special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will be exclusively operated towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, Madikeri.
The corporation has also announced a discount of 5 per cent on the fare if four or more passengers book tickets under a single reservation. A discount of 10 per cent will be extended on return journey tickets if onward and return tickets are booked simultaneously.
In addition to the above, special buses will be operated from all Taluk/District Bus Stands in the jurisdiction of KSRTC based on the traffic needs.
