Bengaluru: Popular Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep who was rumored to be joining BJP today in the presence of Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, has said that he will be supporting CM Bommai in the upcoming Karnataka elections. 

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday along with CM Bommai, the movie star stated he will support Bommai and a few others in the coming elections.

Bommai meanwhile went on to add Sudeep would be campaigning for his party.

The development is seen as a major coup for the BJP, which has been trying to strengthen its base in Karnataka. Sudeep is not only a popular actor but is also known for his philanthropic work and has a significant following among the youth in the state. With assembly elections scheduled to be held in Karnataka next year, the BJP is looking to consolidate its position in the state.

Bengaluru: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge has alleged involvement of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in a money transfer network at global level.

Posting his allegation on his personal ‘X’ account on Saturday morning, Kharge said that he was referring to an issue that had not been dealt with decisively by Indian media houses.

“Here is a crucial story that the Indian media will never touch,” the minister has said, and clarified, “This so-called “body of individuals” has built a global network of over 2,500 affiliated organisations. Through these fronts, the RSS collects “guru dakshina” to fuel its divisive agenda. (sic)”

Kharge has further alleged, “The world’s largest NGO is running amok, laundering money and evading accountability.”
