Bengaluru, May 4: On charges of denotifying 14 gunta land illegally at Lottegollahalli in the second stage of RMV Extension when he was the chief minister, the Karnataka High Court on Friday issued an emergency notice to BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa.
Hearing a PIL filed by retired Wing Commander GB Atri, the Divisional Bench comprising of Justice B Veerappa and Justice Sunil Dut Yadav of the Karnataka High Court served the notice. The Court also ordered to serve emergency notices to respondents- principal secretary of the state government, principal secretaries of Urban Development and Revenue Department, (ACB) DSP, former chief minister Jagadeesh Shettar, former deputy chief minister R Ashok, Lottegollahalli residents Ramaswamy and G Shamanna .
The Lokayukta police had submitted a B report in 2011 against this case and the Lokayukta court had accepted it on November 7, 2014.

Jamshedpur (PTI): One person was arrested on the charge of raping a 30-year-old woman with speech impairment in Jamshedpur, a police officer said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the Azadnagar police station area of the city, and a case in this regard was registered based on the statement of the victim's brother on Monday.
The victim had gone to fetch water from the premises of a company on Monday evening. When she did not return even after a considerable time, family members went out in search of her and caught the accused red-handed, police said.

The accused was a caretaker of the company.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Patamda) Bachandeo Kujjur said due to scarcity of water in the area, the victim used to fetch water from the premises of the company.
